Kind of an simple question, but a search of the forums hasn't revealed anything. I took the floating pickguard off my beatle bass, but now I want to put it back on. Only problem is I seem to have misplaced the screw. I grabbed one of my standard pickguard screws but it looks like they are too big, I don't want to make the pickguard whole any bigger than it is.

Does anyone know the right size screw for the floating pickguard?

You are talking about the single hole beside the neck? IIRC that's a #3 (Gibson size.)

Not the hole beside the neck, that is a pin. This is a hole in the body of the guitar on the side.

Oh yes, sorry about that, I guess I need to pull mine out and play it a little more often. Still a #3 flat head.

    Scotland.
I would be apologising after that curt response from OP.
