    Hi folks,
I've received my Ignition bass which I bought on ebay. However, on close inspection I can see that the lettering is a bit odd (no obvious sign of damage or repair though). There's also no writing on the back of the headstock (which most seem to have). Everything else seems fine and it's nice to play. It's not a fake, is it?
    Cheers!

The headstock logo does look odd compared to mine.

I'm quite sure it's authentic. I have the same bass from Guitar Center and it's identical. That logo is a little funky, but having seen lots of Ignition and Icon basses, my feeling is that the inconsistencies are part of their charm. If you look around on the web, there are some fakes but close comparison gives them away. Look for an upside down control plate for starters. Enjoy your bass!

Thanks for putting my mind at rest a bit. I've come to conclusion that it's genuine, but with a factory flaw. As someone else pointed out, it wouldn't make much sense to fake a budget model.
