Hey I'm Emily and I was told to get my ass over here after asking questions about compressors on BMM FB page. SO HERE I AM. I've been playing since I was 15 but recently have really gotten back into it with my band Love Henry. I *just* got back from NAMM and am even more inspired to get nerdy with gear and improve my craft. So expect not-so-smart questions at times. That is my disclaimer.

Funny thing is after reading a bit there, I decided I don't really need a compressor

Bass is definitely an instrument that almost always benefits from compression. I've got my pbass running through a Fredenstein V.A.S compressor, (which I distribute in Australia). They're only $320US over in the States. Great little unit. Even if you have no idea what you're doing, you can just twist knobs until it sounds better haha
  8. I love a compressor. Hi Emily!
