can someone please tell me if hollow body bass guitars are able to have some say in a small accoustic jam.

i need a review on the YAMAHA BEX-4.

  2. I have posted a review of this bass on www.activebass.com. I like it a lot! Very flexible bass, light, and I like the looks as well as the sound. It is, however, a very bright-sounding bass with the strings I have on it; I'm constantly lowering the high end. Another good bass, which I also own is the Godin A4 (or A5). Neither bass is loud acoustically, but then I don't know of any bass guitars that are loud enough to fill even a small room without an amp.

The C.F. Martin B-1 is the loudest acoustic bass I've come across so far. I hear Tacoma's are also pretty loud, but I've not heard one of those myself. I own the Martin.
