Hollow body?

    Is there any sound changes between a Regular Jazz bass and a Hollow body jazz bass or is it just the weight that changes?

    I have a hollowbody P bass and it sounds very different from a regular P. It is more trebley with less thump.
    it is also very neck heavy.
     
  4. I have a fretless semi hollow Fender AE, Precision style bass. it has both a piezo and lace sensor p style p/u. sounds great but more of upright bass sound than a standard P. it's my favorite bass.
     
  5. HEHe ... Feedback of course if you're playing loud ... i tried a hollowbody once. that was enough. The sound, although - as already mentioned above becomes more bumpy and warmer. listen to older rolling stones recordings w/ bill wyman.
