Is there any sound changes between a Regular Jazz bass and a Hollow body jazz bass or is it just the weight that changes?

    Thanks! :bassist:

I have a hollowbody P bass and it sounds very different from a regular P. It is more trebley with less thump.
it is also very neck heavy.

  4. I have a fretless semi hollow Fender AE, Precision style bass. it has both a piezo and lace sensor p style p/u. sounds great but more of upright bass sound than a standard P. it's my favorite bass.

  5. HEHe ... Feedback of course if you're playing loud ... i tried a hollowbody once. that was enough. The sound, although - as already mentioned above becomes more bumpy and warmer. listen to older rolling stones recordings w/ bill wyman.

    best,
