Hollow vs solid

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by boofis, Jun 26, 2004.

  1. Hey
I have a few questions bout hollows vs solids.
What are the tonal qualities of both constructions?
What difference in feel and sound does it give? Have a good one! Rock on :hyper:

Well, compared to a solid, a hollow bass would mellow out the sound, accenting the lows, and cuting the highs. It would add an acousticness to the bass. Two the bass would be lighter, so would probably be nicer to play. I'm sure other TB member could elaborate.
