Look at this ad! If this is yours, I'm not criticizing, I just didn't know that there were used Yamahas out there that were THIS expensive!

    FOR SALE: Yamaha TRB-6pII
    Posted: : 12/09/2001
    Category: Basses
    Condition: Excellent
    Age: 1 Years
    Asking Price: $3000

I have a Yamaha TRB6pII for sale. This is the newer neck-thru model with Piezo bridge. This is a custom one-off in transparent blue burst finish. The TRB6pII is typically only available in clear finish. This is a very rare and beautiful bass. If you are not familiar with the TRB6pII, it lists for $4400 with HSC and there is a very long waiting list at present to get your hands on one. This is a prototype and has some deviations from the standard TRB6pII now in production. Here are the specs:
    - 5 piece Neck Through (Maple with Ebony (mahogany on production basses) stringers and jet black ebony fingerboard with abalone inlays.
    - Swamp ash body with highly flamed maple top and back w/ accent lines.
    - 35" scale
    - gold hardware
    - Yamaha Alnico V humbuckers x2
    - 3 band eq
    - Individual Bridges for each string with piezo elements (BPZ-7)
    - Gorgeous Blue-green burst finish
    - includes OHSC in excellent condition
This is by far one of the most versatile and easy to play extended range basses on the planet. Get on the waiting list or get this one of a kind TRB6pII right now.
Asking $3000 obo. Will email pictures upon request. Serious inquiries only, please.

This guy is obviously delusional. I doubt he'll find someone to pay 75% of list for a used bass. And, if he does, well....good for him.

Yowza... maybe if it was the Patitucci model SIGNED by John and consecrated by the Pope it might be worth that kinda scratch... but I mean, c'mon now.

Oh wait, wait... I just reread it. It's a prototype. Well worth the extra money.

LOL! I got it from the Porsche commercial where the old guy wakes up from a 10 year coma, and sees a new Boxster.

I might pay close to that to get my old black BB3000S with the m.o.p inlay and 24 karat hardware if it were mint.

One of the bestest basses ever. Notice you never see them on the resale market.
