HONG KONG Talkbassers!

Discussion in 'Miscellaneous [BG]' started by 5s_tring freak, Sep 24, 2001.

  1. How many people out there live in Hong Kong?

Also, does anyone attend the "Hong Kong International School"?
  2. Sheep Man lives there...
  3. Wheee!!
I'm in Hong Kong, but I'm in Chinese International School.

    What makes ya ask, 5s?
  4. I ask because I just got back from a tour of Hong Kong and China and I made some friends with the International School students. I was wondering if a guy called Morgan who is an excellently talented bassist comes to this site, dsue to the fact that I neglected to get his email address
  5. Uhm...
I know about...2 people who go to HKIS. :p

And of those 2 people, neither of their names is Morgan. :D

But I can find out for you, if you want. If you know what grade he's in, I can find out for you, and probably get him to come here, since I can only remember 1 other person on this board being from Hong Kong, and they sounded rather...
    older...?

I was in Chengdu, Lhasa, Lishan, Xi'An, and Beijing for a couple weeks! :D :D :D

(And I want to go back!)
  7. Dang nabbit! Come to Hong Kong! I wanna show you off to all my friends!

"Hey guys, check out what I picked up off the street yesterday after school? My own personal slave, baby!" :D:p

It was a joke. Even though Hong Kong once again is Chinese property, the differences remain.
  11. Could you do that for me, PLease?
I want to get in touch with him, also any dudes from HKIS. I know that he is 17 and he plays a Warwick Streamer 4 string LX. We had some great discussions regarding technique.

Also pass on my condolences to all HKIS students as one of their students passed away yesterday.
  12. Will do, 5s.
17 year old dude named Morgan, plays a Warwick Streamer LX 4.
I hate the guy already. I wanted a Warwick, but I wanted the Streamer Jazzman IV. :p

Oh well, I still love my Spector. :D

And it's really sad to hear when students pass away...a couple years back a classmate of mine passed away, and although I didn't know or even particularly like him, I couldn't help but feel extremely depressed for at least 2 days...:(

    wassup 5_string
yeah Myles died tragically this past week. we're all very struck as this month has been TERRIBLE with everything going on and on top of that senior year pressure.
Two things did lighten up things, the New Zealanders visit (cheers rhys) and The Corrs concert yesterday which was AWESOME.
Christopher what year did you graduate? are you at NYU?
    lol HKISers takin over

just in case anyone doesn't know i'll warn you, 5s_tring freak is an excellant bassist and i was blown away by his technique
    so time to start practicing!
  17. Come on man! No need to be sarcastic! (jokes). I try my best, but I don't think I would blow many people away.

Dude, do you want to be on my bands mailing list? If you're a good boy I might even send you a copy of our single with Amy's copy!

This thread seem to show up the value of filling in profiles - it seems very confusing at the moment as some of the contributors haven't put where they are or any details.
  19. I fully understand your guys pain at school. Two skool friends of mine have died in 5 years, and my guitarists brother, (who I knewvery well) was knocked of his bike and killed instantly about 3 months ago. I played a guitar duet with John (his brother ) at the funeral. We played Tears in Heaven.

I also know what it feels like to faced with death, being in TWO serious car accidents and almost drowning in the surf last year!
  20. Yep.

I'm still confused about everything RETSAMPALS said...
