Hi, I wasn't sure where to post this but this one looked the best. I have a Peavy amp with your basic 'Low, Mid Low, Mid High, High' EQ settings and a Boss Chorus peddle.

With the chorus I cn get a nice enough Joy division/new order lead bass tone but its not there yet, any idea how to get that unique Peter Hook sound? The best I Can do is whack up the trebble on my fender Jazz bass, wack the chorus effect up full (with the rate on virtually zero) and put up the low and mid lows high, but this then takes away from the power of the low A and E strings...so yeah, any help getting that hooky tone I crave would be appreciated.

  2. As he mostly plays on the higher bands, and on the D and G strings. It sounds like you´ve got it quite right.
Maybe just turn down the lo-mids a little bit?
