I'm just wondering, when I'm playing a fast descending riff that looks like this:

    ------------------------------------|
    -5--------5-3-3-5-----5-3--------*-|
    ---------------------------5-3----*-|
    -----5--3-----------3----------3----|

The last five notes have me wondering about which fingers I should be using (if i want to use good form). Assuming I'm using the index and ring finger for the 5's and 3's respectively, would I also use the index on the final note (the G)? It seems like an unnatural sort of hop to make; rather than extending the fingers I'm having to "hop" so to speak. I can play the lick fine, it's just I was wondering what you guys would do?

    thanks,
    hopefully this makes sense

Just sitting here in my computer chair wiggling my fingers (lol) I would fret:

    Code:
     r m i r i i r i r i r i m
    ------------------------------------|
    -5--------5-3-3-5-----5-3---------*-|
    ---------------------------5-3----*-|
    -----5--3-----------3----------3----|
     r m i r i i r i r i r i m
    (r=ring;i=index;m=middle)

    Or something like that...
