In the works, in order of likely appearance:

    1) A Gecko four! Finally!

    2) 32" scale necks!

    3) A semi-hollowbody/chambered body!

Got this from an employee...no guarantees, but they're giving these serious thought.

Time to start pelting them with emails, gang!

A Gecko four, eh? I've bothered them before about that one, looks like it finally paid off.

I think the Gecko in a 4 would be a really nice bass! That, and you coud get that really cool neck for a 4...or, like I'd do, tune is BEAD...

Hey, what about a semihollow, 32" Gecko 4 string! All of the new worlds! Heh :)

Me, too - I was always told they had "no time to develop it". Apparently (one of?) their new luthier is...a bassist!

Don't forget the Tele Bass body, and that Eagle body, too - they've been showing up in the Thrift Shop as of late.

I've always wondered about that... the Eagle isn't a "standard" bass body, but they have at least one in the thrift shop all the time. Maybe they're custom orders that fell through when people realized how fugly those bodies are? ;)

This is what I just got back from Warmoth:

You know how it is with rumors..... The truth is that we would like to
do it one day but there is absolutely no work going on currently in this
direction. Perhaps sometime late next year but this is only
    speculation.

Yeah, but these rumors came directly from the mouth of a Warmoth sales rep to my ear when I called in an order yesterday. Unless the rep doesn't know what he's talking about...

So, maybe if enough of us ask them they will decide to start work on it...

    That's what I think, too!

  11. If they start making a semihollow I'd definitely consider getting one!

  12. since building my Warmoth P bass I've been thinking about building another in swamp ash with the contoured neck joint, angled Warmoth 2+2 headstock, and maybe the dinky P bass body style-
but a Gecko 4 with a 34in scale neck and PJ p/ups would do the trick.

also I wish Warmoth would do 22 fret 4 string necks (without fretboard overhang) that would fit Fender Precision and Jazz deluxe models- they would fit my Fender Precision plus too.

I've pretty much back burnered my Warmoth/Moses plans for the near future because of my new Sterling, but a Gecko four may just put me over the edge. And the Warmoth countoured heel is VERY nice - I have it on my Warmoth Tele g****r.

POersonally they should make it w/a 34" scale neck...... :(

...that is IF they ever deceide to make one. :)

  15. Reviving an old thread, I don't think the G4 looks like the 5/6 String Gecko. I would also like to have a 4 string Gecko because I love the inlay.
