Just kidding! I can buy it myself if only TB community can help me. For a love of all that low, I can't find the specs for neck profiles. All search results point to a page which doesn't exist on the new Dingwall website. Help? One more thing - can I get P/J pickup combination in Super J body?

I wish they would. I wouldn't have to deal with 404 errors on their website and emails not being answered. Is there a quest you have to complete before you can place a deposit?

The title would only be in poor taste if the OP was 45 years old....:)

The OP of the original Mom/Amazon post has given this one the official blessing.

I know that my Mom will never buy me any sort of bass guitar. :D

Maybe if you post this on a bass forum, someone might take pitty on you and buy a Dingwall for you on Amazon.

What's with the recurring Amazon joke?
  16. Dear old mum, calls to tell me about guitars, amps, basses, on FB, because she's never been able to figure out how to send a link, even after a few instructional run-throughs.
It's always junk, I mean Always, but hey at least she's trying to be supportive...

I bought an ng2 recently. At one point when I was doing some research I came across a picture that showed all the dingwall models and their details like what electronics they used, what the scale lengths were, Nut width and so on. I do remember the super J and super P aren’t as long as the other dingwalls. The “modern” dingwalls have a 37” low B but the Super J and Super P are 35 or 35 1/2 low B or something like that so it’s a slightly shorter scale. I want to say the super p and j are the same scale as the Ibanez fan fret basses. But I’ve also seen on the dingwall forum here on TB that the super J and Super P being shorter are also compatible with a much bigger range of string options. So that’s cool. Lot of strings won’t work on the 37” low Bs because the winding length isn’t long enough so a normal string tapers down on the wrong side of the Nut. Since I mentioned I bought an NG2 I might as well show a picture right?

Check out the new Dingwall website. There’s detailed info on the different models. And a gallery of beautiful bass photos.

The Super series scale is 35” to 32”, with a modern C neck featuring a compound radius fret board. String spacing is 19mm. Four and five strings available. The necks are the same but there is a J body and a P body. Pickup configurations are P, Pj, super fattie j’s, and the new pickups in two or three pup set ups.

Pickguard models are routed for most configurations.

Finishes go from solid colors and metallic flake to premium figured tops with stains, bursts, fades and clear finish.

I’m really happy with mine! Your mom will be proud to see you playing one.

    Let me help you out!
Have Mom pm me for details.

Why's everyone asking their mom for a bass guitar? My mom got me my first bass at 14 and consequently, I didn't get laid until I was almost 21. I was a damn laughing stock.
