how can i find the slap exercise on the web?
    or buy some slapping book?

i am beginner for bass, please help, thank you~ :bassist:

  2. A really great book is "slap it!" by Tony Oppenheim(Theodore Presser Company Publishing)...but you will have to be able to read music to play the excercises.

  3. You should also check out the TECHNIQUE forum...I am sure there are alot of threads about plank-spankin'.

There are alot of good video's out there that you can watch and learn from. Alexis Sklarjefski (I can't spell worth a darn) at musicians institute in L.A. has an excellant video called "the slap bass technique" that will take you from ground zero.Ed Freidland also has an excellant slap DVD course that you can get on ebay.I'm sure there are countless others, but these two men are excellant teachers, which is what you really want.
