I have a GSR 200 JB and I really love it. But the action is really high. That means the strings are to high off the neck. Its really slowing down my playing. Can you list all suggestions please?

take it to a professional and get him/her to "set it up" for you.

There are also two things you can do yourself. If you're not comfortable, take the bass to a qualified repair person. It's easy to screw up the bass forever if done improperly.

But, the two things you can do are to adjust the truss rod. There are discussions in the "Setup" threads on how to do this.

The other thing you can do is to lower the strings at the bridge.

Both of these may affect the intonation, so if you have a tuner, make sure you check the intonation when you're done.

    Have fun playing!
