i want to build a 15" cab to match my 2x10" ampeg cab. I have the actualy cabinet and i am buying a 300w speaker, but i don't know what cables to plug the power mixer so i can push both cabs. Basically, i don't know how to get the sound from my mixer to the speaker itself.

Can you give us more detail about your amp. I'm not quite sure how the mixer fits in?

i am buying a behringer europower mixer. It produces 500watts. I have a peavey deltabass head which i am just using as eq, then running the signal to the mixer for more power. I already have a ampeg can w/ 2 10" speakers in it. I want to add a 15" cab to the setup to get a more powerful low end. i am going to run the outputs from the mixer right into the 2x10 cab and the 15" cab. I already have the speaker cables to hook up the 2X10 cab. I want to build the 15" cab, so i need to know how to run the signal from the output of the mixer, which is 1/4", to the raw 15" speaker, to get the sound, creating a stack.\

Interesting idea to use the powered mixer as a bass amp. Let us know how it goes.

If I were you, I'd build the 15 cab and attach the same type of input connector that is on your 2x10. For example if your 2x10 has Speakon, go to the store and buy some speakon connectors for the 15. If it's got XLR, use XLR on the 15.

Once that's sorted, I'd be running each speaker from one of the outputs of the desk. If should have 2, one for left and one for right.

If you need any help designing the cab (box size, ports, Ohms, whatever) let me know.

thanks for the input, but you still haven't solved my problem, probably because i didn't explain it well. On the back of the raw speaker, there iwll be two little metal tabs, one red and one black (for positive & neg.) For my other cab, i use monster speaker cables, so i need to get the 1/4" output on the mixer into those two little red and black tabs on the back of the raw speaker itself. I was wondering if i'm supposed to use some banana cable of some sort to plug right into the back of the raw speaker, but i'm not familiar with all that cable stuff. There is probably some adapter or little box to plug the 1/4 inch into that relays the signal right into the back of the speaker (into those two red/black tabs)
if you know any more about this stuff just let me know, i would really appreciate it.
    thanks
