Hey everyone! I just bought an Acoustic 230 amp head, serial number 2300 1905. Does anyone have any idea what year this would be? I know it's not an early Acoustic, so late 70's maybe? Any help would be appreciated.

    unnamed. unnamed. acoustic amp.

That helped a little. I know it was between 1977 and 1980 because those were the only years they produced the 230. If anyone could help me be a little more specific I would appreciate it.

  6. If you want to look inside, you cn check the dte code
    on the pots.
It could be younger than the pots, as they might be left overs,
but it isn't going to be any older than them.

Why do you need to know the exact year of birth of your 40 year old amp? A 3-5 year range is probably sufficient for anything you might reasonably need to know about it.
