Look at this bass! Anyone plays it and can tell me what it is like?
wow, looks nice, but sorry, can say ive played it
who makes it?
Well, it`s an Esh Stinger and I think its called"Real Gothic" or so. I`ve found it at an Ebay auction.
... it scaring me ...
There's a used Esh at a local store. I don't know much about Esh, I think they're trying to get about $1000 for it. I've seen people give very positive reviews of them.
This one is amazingly ordinary. Sounded "ok". I was pretty surprised.
One of my best friends has one of those.
It's the ESH Stinger " real gothic ".
the stinger are real nice basses with ash body, maple neck and mahogany fretboard. It's powered by 2 kent-armstrong pickups.
The type on your photo is the " real gothic " which has transparant finish, 2 big humbuckers and a piezo-bridge.
They're made in Germany, and are VERY nice to play with. My friend put thicker strings on it and tuned it up to C. the tone is somewhat like the warwick-sound.
How much are they asking for it ? if it is a nice price, then go for it.. the bass is worth it !
the " real gothic " is listed for about 1300 / 1400 in most stores..
...interesting, 34.5 scale !
hmmm....throw a chain on there for a strap, and it'll be just like petey steel's bass
It looks like a bass version of an Ibanez Iceman. Funny looking.
I have 2 Esh Stinger I 'Real Gothic' basses and 1 Esh Stinger I Classic bass.
Well, all I can say is that they are far and away the best sounding basses I've ever come across. And they are eye catchers to boot.
This thread is from 2002.
Those basses are still made and played, obviously. Thus this (thread) seems timeless to me.
Does it have a cloaking device?
