...highend cabs like Bag End, Epifani, Bergantino, EA,Glockenklang...
They are made here in Sweden but the grass always seem greener on the other side, if you know what I mean.

    EBS cabs are world class.

I own an EBS 4x10, and chose it over EA, Eden, Bag End, and Epifani. I didn't have the option of trying Bergantino or Glockenklang, but from what I hear from others, those two are similar to EA in sound.

Anyway, Bag End cabs are loud, They're rated at 103db for the comparable cabinet to what I own from EBS. My cabinet is rated the same. It is loud. It's not as scooped-mids sounding as the EA, Eden, or Epifani cabs that I tried. The EBS is a little punchier than the others I tried. Did I mention it's loud?

EBS often gets compared to Bag End, though I've never taken them head-to-head. Both sound great. For me, it came down to the fact that I bought a Fafner, and felt a little more comfortable "matching" it to the EBS cab than any of the others.

My opinion is that it's the best choice I could have made and regret none of it.:D

RAM, you thought EA's sounded scooped?

    Brad,

I only heard EAs a couple of times. They sounded kind of flat and required a lot of power compared to the other cabs mentioned.

I'd describe the sound as flat myself. I was leary about needing a bigger amp but found that my BH-420 (400w) pushes the two cabs I have fine. So does the MAG 400 I just got.

Well, I was doing a side-by-side between an EBS 4x10 with an EA 2x10. The EBS seemed to have more mids. I never said I thought the two were on the same parallel: obviously an EA 2x10 is a completely different animal than an EBS 4x10. But, the EBS definitely had more mids.
