    Hey guys,

Looking to wire a bass with a double P with just passive electronics. Would a PJ diagram work?

A PJ diagram will only show 2 wires for the bridge pickup. A two-humbucker wiring diagram would be a better example (the split P pickup is basically a humbucker with the halves separated).

A PJ or even a JJ will work fine assuming it has the controls you want.

Unless you want to do some type of series/parallel option for the P pickups, they should already be wired together and are treated as if each set is a single pick up. You'll have a front positive and negative and a rear positive and negative.

So based on this info, use a J-Bass wiring scheme and you will be good as gold.
