    I think Im gonna get:

    Hartke 3500
    Avatar 410

and maybe an Avatar 115 down the road.

How does that sound...should I also try to find a preamp? And if so...could I do with out it for now, and wait a month or so for the next paycheck?

You won't really need a pre-amp. The Hartke is basically a pre-amp and power amp all in one unit. See how it sounds first
  3. That is my exact amp setup and it's great. I dont know why you'd need a preamp if you have a head (pre + power amp).

Should I get the 410 in 8 ohm for now, so I can get the 115 later on (also in 8 ohm)?

yes...if you're gonna even consider expanding in the future (which it sounds like you are) get the 8ohm...then you can add whatever you want later.

    good sounding rig!
