  1. how do you like your action and how high is it.

    mine is 3/32 e string
    descending to1/16 g string
  2. I set mine fairly medium, I like it low though because I like to slap and pop the strings but when playing with a band I find it pretty hard to apply. So I keep the action medium to avoid fretnoise and retain clarity...
  3. I'm a pretty hard stringpuller.. so my strings are way up in the air.. learning to improve my tech's.. so they will drop on the way

I like it as low as i can get it - i like to play fast! Though, with the fretjob on my bass being what it is, it's really not that low, unfortunately.
  8. Mine varies. I usually set my B string up pretty high so I can whack away on it. Overall, it's medium. I just recently lowered them all, and have been going with a lighter touch. Ugh, I don't know how to really explain it I guess...never mind. Doh.
  9. I'm not sure of my measurements or anything but I voted high even though mine are more around medium right now but I have a tendency to play really hard when I play live and havn't gotten around to raising them yet...I've gotta concentrate more on my technique when I play live I guess.

I like it as low as possible without any extraneous buzzing, but because I detune to Drop C and Open A, it ends up being about Medium/High...

I had mine VERY high. But I am bringing it down based on the style of music I'm starting to play.

It´s pretty low on my Yamaha but high on my Godin (my 5 string).
  15. I have mine as low as it will go, without buzz or scraping my pickups. Once you get used to the low you wont go back. I can practice for hours with no soreness. It's also great for slapping.;)

QCPunkrock, what are you trying to do... resurrect a flame war like the dreaded "Gripmaster" thread? :D :D :D
  17. No i'm not but it could be fun (insert a devil face here)

I just recently raised my action it must run at about 4 or 5 /32 on E because I find myself playing more and more with a pick (insert another satanical face here)

I was just wandering who do you think has the highest action on the board
    add measurement please

i donno how low exactly, but i had this guy set it up and he said he set it up with low action, and it plays awesome, so i like it.
  19. My action is as low as it can go without fretbuzz, so I've got it pretty low. I have to raise my A slightly though because I'm getting too much buzz.
  20. I like mine as low as possible.... need a better bass to get it lower... and my attack is a bit strong for super low action....
