I'm trying to figure out if my Crown CE1000 is a 2 or 3 rack space amp. Thanks
1 Rack Unit = 1.75 inches
It's a three space amp...
I'm not sure, but I believe that the Crown CE1000 is 3 rack spaces.
I see someone answered you while I was posting.
Don't you just hate that
When you see something like this:
"The 7 angled top steel rails are 12U rack spaces with extra room in the back for cable connections. The lid provides enough space for cables to stay connected as well as, space for the optional 1SKB-AV8 retractable shelf. The front facing 8U steel rails"
It means the front is 8 rack spaces (8*1.75=14") tall, and the back, tilted up for the mixer, is 12 rack spaces (12*1.75=21") tall,
but that doesn't mean there are 12 1U slots in the back, just that it's 7 inches taller than the front to allow for mixer cables.
Is that right?
It's very badly written.
Looks like it's 8U of rackspace below the 7degree sloped mixer tray with storage space between. Heavy as hell.
I thought SKB molded plastic cases were supposed to be lightweight.
A rack space is 1U.
