How long was the longest you ever had the same set of strings on an e- bass?

I mean ,on a bass you actually play regularly rather than one sitting in a case somewhere
For me it's 5 years and a month now, played every day.

    10 years.

A set of TI flats I had on various fivers until I sold the last bass they were on. Still have the strings though.

  3. 4 years
  4. A set of stainless steel Lo-Riders for 3.5 yrs. I still thought they sounded great but I replaced them.
  5. I had a set of 15 year old Chromes on a 79’ Ibanez Roadster. I got the bass refretted last year and put on a new set of Chromes, I have not decided if that was a good idea or not.

My American Hot Rod P has worn the same TI flats for almost 17 years. I use this bass weekly in an 18 piece big band. I haven't seen any reason to replace them.
