Sorry if this has been done. I just realized that I can stretch my hand a lot farther than when I first started. I can now comfortably stretch from the 1st fret to the 5th (on the E string) using proper form / fretting position- a year ago I could only stretch from the 5th to the 9th. I wonder if I'll ever be able to stretch from the 1st to the 6th? how far can you stretch?

  2. Same as you but I don't find it comfy at all.

  3. 21

  4. 3rd to 7th

  5. I don't really see much difference between 1-5 and 3-7

  6. I can hit 1-5 easily. 1-6 I can manage, but can't stretch that far and still keep up with the tempo of most of the music I play.

Maybe not much difference, but there is some difference.

Can I use two hands? I can only reach 4 with one hand.

  9. 1-6 But it hurts.

    1-9 on a guitar.

1-4 but not comfortably. In practice I have to shift my hand a bit to go 1-4.

On what scale length? The Eb3 is like 30.5 inches,
    so I win.

With my tiny little hands on my 35" scale, 1st to 5th fret is the best that's ever gonna happen without the aid of a hack saw.

  16. 1st-5th on a 34" scale, on my new one (35" scale) 1st-4th.

1st-4th on 35". I might be able to do 5th, but I'm first to admit, my left hand isn't big on proper form. So if I didn't cheese it, I would do better. I have a lazy left hand...

    Texas Hacksaw Massacre!

    Great name for a band!

Basically, do you ever use more than the index finger to play
I - V in that Hillbilly Rock anyhoo?
