Less than 19
More than 24
IF YOU HAVE MULTIPLE BASSES HOW MANY DO YOU PREFER
Which one? My Warwick has 24. I find myself missing those last few when I switch to my Fenders.
Confucius say, shorr scale bass gooh fah man witt smaah hanns.
My Squiers: 20
My ESP: 21
My Ibanez: 22
My Rickenbacker: 0
I think that "How many frets do you prefer?" would have been a more appropriate title for the poll. I prefer 24, but I have everything between 20 and 24-fret fingerboards (yes, even a 23-fret).
20 on my two basses. A fretted bass really only needs 1 - 5.
Ok 7 for open string octaves if you insist!
I have none with less than 20 or more than 24. Should I round them all up and come up with an average?
um...off the top of my head, I don't know.
I know I have two with 24 frets. I know all the rest have fewer than 24. I know one of them has exactly the same number of frets as a standard Fender Jazz or Precision (so that's what, 21? or 20?) and one of them has exactly one more fret than a standard Fender Jazz or Precision (so that'd be 22 maybe?) but I'll be damned if I ever counted
All my basses have 24 fret. Less than that and I have a serious problem ... on a 6 strings it would be ok but on a 4 and 5 strings I have to have 24 fret.
How much of us regularly play above the 12th?
I do when playing around but it's a bass dammit!
Yep. I know I've got between 20 and 24, my AVRI's are 20...my Modulus is 24. I think I've got 21 on the rest, but I really don't know.
Percentage of time? Not much compared to above the 12th, but I do travel, and I've got at least one song that ends a solo piece on an F# that doesn't sound nearly as good when I can only get to a D.
I use the whole instrument ... limiting yourself the the first 5 frets limits creativity.
This is exactly what I thought .
I love mi 24 fret six string. It is great to play from the low B to the high C .
+1 Unless I wanna get fansssy
Kramer Striker Fretless=0, Warwick RB Streamer 5er=24. So, average of 12 then
Three of them don't have any frets, two have 20, three have 22.
Yeah, this is what I thought.
I have 20, but I really only NEED the first 5.
