I know there's a thread up about how many basses people own, but I wonder how many of you out there have actually counted how many and which basses they've owned...so....

    let's list your all-time greatest bass-whore list...
here's my tale of the tape...
    5 Charles Cote basses, 4s, 5s, and 6s
    5 Laklands, 4s and 5s
    1 Zon
    1 Conklin
12 Fender Jazz Basses MIJ, MIA, MIM
    1 Fender P Bass
    2 Zolla 4s
    1 Warrior 4
2 R Basses 4s (one is on the way to me now!)
    4 Elricks 4s and 5s
    1 Fodera 4
4 Nordstrands, all of them superior instruments, and one is in my possesion now (flamed koa singlecut 4)
1 F Bass 5 (would have kept it if it was a 4
    1 Ken Smith BSR4P
    1 G&L L-2000
    1 Music Man Sterling
    1 Bogart 5

I'm presently playing a Lakland Skyline 44-02 rosewood/natural with a white pearl guard, a ridiculously killer Nordstrand 4 singlecut with a flamed koa top, birdseye maple back, birdseye board, alder core, Smith pre, Carey's Fat Stacks under ebony covers, yadda yadda, and my new R Bass 4 with a rosewood top and ebony board, alder body, Bart js and HazLab pre.

    List your wood! :D

Oh man I'm gonna look like lightweight here...

    Beatle bass copy by Ventura
sold it and got a Fender P
had to sell it but later got a Peavey T40
hated the weight, eventually traded it for a Rickenbacker copy by Univox
loved the feel, got a real Rickenbacker 4003
Univox died, got a Schecter jazz
liked the Schecter, sold the Ric got a Fender J fretless

    time passed...

around this time or so I got obsessed with Chapman Stick tracked one down and got it. Big mistake. Even after years I suck at this thing.

    back to the basses...

Schecter got tired, sold it, got a Guild Pilot
played the Guild till it was tired, got a Spector NS2a

and here we are...Main bass is a fretless Fender Jazz, fretted is a Spector NS2a.
