How many ohms is the AI Contra internal speaker?

I'm having trouble using a 4 ohm extension cab with my Acoustic Image Contra... the sound cuts in and out... maybe it's mismatched with the internal speaker?

    Spec says 4 ohms.
There have been a few threads re. bad response on 2 ohms from the AI's. But it seems they have upgraded, to increase the tolerance of the amp.
Probably, the real problem is the impedance variations (tolerances) of the speaker cabs. While the speakers claim to be 4 ohms, they may really be 3.4 - and then the amp can only take 2, nothing less, while you try to make it drive 1.7...
And impedace also varies with frequency...
