  1. Hi all!

Considering a new shape-up for my pedalboard, so would like to hear how many pedals you guys have. Below is a small poll.

    Thanks for joining!

If my volume and line selector pedal count for pedals, then 6.

So this is what I got (in order of aperance):

    - Zoom B3
    - EHX Blackfinger (always on)
    - Boss MT-2
    - EHX Tube Zipper (used as fuzz)
    - Boss LS-2 (Loop B used as clean-mix (a+b>bypass))
    - Boss FV-50H

I had a lot more pedals though, but sold them whenever I didn't need them, or I would have had a lot of pedals.

Some of which I could have had use for now too.

My view is you can never have too many pedals, even if you don't use them actively.

You never know if you can have some use of some of them in the future.

  3. They do probably "count" (in order for the word to show up too ;)) so 6!

  5. Ok well I have 7 on one pedalboard for band... and 8 on another for a "play" pedalboard... mostly stuff is never use in my metal band setting but delays, tremolo, crazy dirt, ect etc - plus have about 5 or 6 in a bag. Truth be told I should sell most of them but unless I give them away the selling process is too hard and can't be bothered! So small collection it is!

I have 4 on my board, only ever really use 3 though. Looking to add to that number as well.

  9. Think I currently have a total of 28 pedals, but I keep my pedal board fairly simple (8 on the board in total), and then do some swapping out from time to time of one kind of pedal for another of a similar type on my board.

  10. I have close to 100 including rack and studio effects.

I limit my pedals to what fits on my PT2 and to what I actually use in the bands I'm in. I currently have 10 pedals, but have two more on the way, so I will have 12 on my board shortly.

  13. The first pedal is free then after that you gotta pay and pay and pay.
I decided to keep my nose clean and not chase the tone dragon....yet

  14. Don't ever count your pedals, just don't hahaha

Then again, i keep my regular(lol) board fairly simple and use a big board at home for trying out ideas and weird stuff.

I have 10 pedals total but I only use 4 of them for bass. Modded tube screamer, B7KU, modded VT Bass, and a noise gate. I don't really like modulation effects on bass. I add those to the chain when I get out my guitar.

  17. One pedal is too many.

If your board only holds eight and you have nine — that is one too many.

If your board holds 15 and your shelves hold another 50 and both board and shelves are full and the postal carrier delivers a new pedal to you — that is one pedal too many.

If you have 75 pedals without raising the ire of your spouse, and a 76th pedal is purchased that raises the eyebrow of your spouse — that is one pedal too many.

If you've maxed out your purchases on pedals and cannot afford another one, yet you can't resist that sale and purchase another pedal — that is one pedal too many.

If you have X number of power-supply channels/daisy-chaining and are already drawing max amperage, yet you have X+1 pedal — that is one pedal too many.

If you have X number of patch cables and require X+1 patch cord — that is one pedal too many.

I have 20 ...but 2 of those I rarely use for bass except in rare studio situations, & 2 others are functionally duplicates of something else that made the cut, and 1 I sort of "retired" because I felt I'd overused it for a few years. So there are 15 on my current pedalboard.

  20. I don't know, exactly. I have 15 in use on a PT Pro, 6 on a PT Metro 20, and a PT Nano that is incompetent with 2 on it and I don't have another 2 that will work, although there are at least 4 or 5 other pedals lying around.
