How many times is a pbass pickup wound?

    I'm rewinding some old Univox Hi-fliyer pickups that I have and I
    was interested in converting one (or maybe both) of them to dual coils and I was wondering... how many times is each coil wound on a passive Precision bass pickup? And a Jazz (Dual or Single)?

    I'm trying to achieve a warmer, fatter tone in the neck pickup and a tighter, punchier tone in the bridge pickup (similar to a pj bass)

    Precision Split coils have ~10,000 per coil turns i think.
    Jazz Pickups 8000 - 9000 turns.
