  10. Just started in November of 2000 after a 10-year hiatus. Prior to that, played from about 1973 - 1977 (regularly), then, on & off (mostly off) 'til '90.

    I started playing a little over 12 years ago, minus three years that I strayed away from music all together.

    I'm similar to XG :

    '73 - c. '86 played bass regularly - then got into keyboards/ sequencers and playing/writing everything myself. c.91/92 started commuting to London regularly and had no time for music. Stopped commuting and started Jazz course in '98 and have been playing bass again since.

    I have played bass non stop since September 81.

    I have played acoustic guitar on and off since 76. I started playing electric guitar (and drums) in 98.

    23yrs for me. I only had one hiatus around 82 or 83 been flat out with at least two bands ever since.

    I played violin for 7 years. Then sold the violin to buy my first bass. I now have 4 basses and have been playing for 3 years and cant remember for the life of me how to play a violin anymore :D
