how much fingernoise?

    ok this is kinda a weird question. how much finger noise do you guys have when you plug your uprights in through an amp? the question came up in jazz band today so i thought id get more bass players opinion. mine: little to none.

    Perhaps..... Turn the treble down??
    Or use a buffer preamp????

    i think you misunderstood the question.

    here it is:
    "how much finger noise do you have your upright is plugged into an amp?"

    I try to get the same amount of finger noise when amplified as I can hear when playing acoustically. In my case this is very little, but there is a tiny bit there at the back. I adjust the my two treble eq bands to control this.
