how much is a galvelston 12 string worth?

    i found one for sale.
    is $275 a good price?
    how nice are they?
    know anything about them?
    i heard that they are made where another famous manufacture makes there basses also. is this true and who?

    That's less than the going price for them on Ebay.

    Yeah, they are probably made by Samick, the company that makes over 50% of the instruments not made in the USA.

    Hmmm, now I wonder who THAT could belong to! ;)

    $275 is probably worth it. They usually go for over $400 on ebay from what I've seen.

    i can't even find them on ebay!
    all they have is the 8 string. it is the 8 string that are all seperate!!!

    Samick is a brand, Galveston is a brand. Competitors in that sense. Both are made by Samick, though.

    I was under the impression that there were two big Korean factories - Samick was one, and the place where Galvestons was made was the other. But who knows (or, really, cares :) ).

    The other is Cort. If they are made in the Cort factory, my opinion of them just went way up!

    Hmm - I dunno. In general mine is reasonable quality - my main beef with it is the balance. But there are some interesting things, like sloppy routing for the bridge pieces:

    It's like they didn't even use a guide! :confused:
