  1. Including your amps, effects, cables, EVERYTHING for bass.

Mine is worth about $2700. That's probably low for most of you (especially JT :D )

Probably about $5000 to $6000, and I'm sure that's still below average here. Gee, if I sold EVERYTHING I had, I could buy the Sadowsky I want, but I'd have to play through a Fender rumble or something. ;)

hmm, as of now it's only about $3000, but near the end of the year it'll probably jump to around $4500+

    Greg

  4. Squire Bronco played through a BB Blaster. Boo Ya £200 of equipment. Plus about £3 of picks that will never be used.

The Bronco is second hand so knocks it to £100. I believe i have the worst equipment ever :D

  5. Bass gear wise, $109. If you factor in my guitar and recording gear though it's way more.

I put 3000-4000 because I have about 2900 worth of gear right now, and I play on getting a new 4 string (around 1000-1200) and I'm gonan put a 115 under my 210 (around 400).

I get my money from babysitting, and my summer jobs (hey, I'm 15, I'm allowed to babysit for 10 bucks an hour, lol)

I know there's gonna be a big boost in what my gear is worth in college because my parents can't stop me from buying stuff there (go dorms!)

    Greg

  7. That would put you in $4k-$5k

  8. Ok now who is 40k-60k? Reveal yourself!

Don't be ashamed of how much you spend on your gear. We idolize your lack of frugality!

I think if you got the guys on the double bass side involved in this, many would be in or above the 40-60k range. ;)

  10. true. How much does an average upright cost?

I have friends that play sax, and the sax quality equivalent of an SX or Brice is like a $5k sax. It's crazy

I'm under $1,000, because I just took the bass back up after a 6 year lag and divesting myself of my original gear in the late 90's. All I have now is a Spector Legend and an old 65w Fender Sidekick Bass amp (which sounds pretty good, btw.)

    Actually, I'm under $600.

Me too, although mine is far from a great upright, the price is still up there.

$17500....if we go by fair market value. One of my Rics is valued at about $8K more than I paid for it so that is where most of my total comes from.

edit....if the "crazy" markup of the one bass seems unfair I'm fine with coming in at $9500. :D
