I have a warwick streamer stage II and it has that
crappy plastic "adjust-a-nut" and i want a brass nut

I talked to my music store and they said it would cost $85.00

    does this seem right ???

    please help me

  2. If it's a 4string... here you go..

    BN 0889-008
    ABM Height Adjustable Brass Nut for Bass 1-9/16" x 5/32" x 3/16

from www.allparts.com :D Think of all the stuff you can buy with the money you saved...
  3. But you have to install if yourself, and a nut is very important to be set up right. Might be worth it to have a professional set it up for the extra money.

Nope, the crucial thing to get right when installing a nut is to get the slots cut just right. On the old Warwick adjustable brass nut, though, you just turn the adjustment screws to change the heights for each string. If you can raise or lower your bridge saddles without doing major damage, you can pretty much handle adjusting the Warwick nut.

Or if it's a 5er, one of our friendly europeans here was able to get the nuts fairly cheap. Of course, there's always shipping, and the dealing with a stranger and all, but it could be worth it. I'd trust most TBers.
