+1 yeah, I usually notice they are too long when they start hitting the strings when I play.

Toes... I usually go until my wife complains (not very long :rollno:).

i bite my finger nails bad habit o well. as for my toes umm 1 a year haha

  5. For the past year I do minor maintenance on my toes daily to try to prevent ingrown toenails, so basically they are always maintained.

I cut my nails about every 2 weeks or so, or if I get lazy, then just when they interfere with my bass playing.

  9. I practice so often, they stay worn down :ninja: I chew my toenails. :D

  10. I guess I cut my fingernails every 1.5-2 weeks. It depends on how filthy they look. Toenails range anywhere from 3-6 weeks.

When I first migrated to the US I only cut my nails ONCE every two months (they started growing slowly).

I thought that was weird. I'm normal now though (as per my definition)

I've gotten serious about the classical guitar again and it's hard to keep on enough nail for the guitar while taking off enough for the bass.

I can't stand nails when I'm playing bass but I've found that I can afford a slightly longer nail length by slightly altering my technique. That way it doesn't take me as long to grow them back when I've got a two-week stint of guitar practicing/performing or whatever.

So I guess that once my nails are at that optimum length, I end up taking off about 1mm/week.
I'm not ashamed to admit that I've got a glass file but they're awesome.
When it gets loaded, you just rinse it off with water and you've got a brand new file!

Left hand gets cut normal (short) so I guess that's like once every week or two.
