How often do you use your effects?

Just wondering how often you use your effects and in what situations. I only got a BOSS BF-2 Flanger, and I use it in like 5 songs, usually in the intro or in a solo, but for one I use it on the verse part cuz it sounds good with the guitar (forgive me for saying guitar). And what other effects would sound good on a bass. I'm looking at an overdrive pedal, cuz my band only has one guitar player, so maybe I could try to fill that void, or maybe a bass wah. What do ya'll recommend?

And I don't live in an igloo.

I use a Boss CEB-3 Bass Chorus, but only on about 3 songs.

I use my compressor and eq box on everything. Then sometimes overdrive, fuzz, whammy, chorus, and autowah. Very rarely i use flanges and phasers.

In about half our songs, I use a DOD Grunge pedal, kind of making the bass sound like a g***ar. I also use a Snarlin Dogs Whine-O Wah during our Instrumental.

I just got a DOD Delay, and need to find a way to incorporate it into our songs.

I use my effects too much. I love my 105Q (even though I've had bad experiences in the past with Dunlop). Intersteller Overdrive by SWR is the best overdrive out there, IMHO. You pay for that quality tho'...close to $650 I think.

I have a Rocktek Distortion, I've had it since Christmas, but have just started using it regularly. The funny thing is, Rocktek (apparently) designs it's pedals for use with both guitar and bass...so even though it's primarily guitar pedal, it works amazingly well with bass! Definely worth 20 bucks..or whatever it was I payed for it..

Since I got my BOSS ODB-3 Bass distortion, I can not play without !!!!

I like to put very little distortion effect and it adds punch to my sound. Also, the two band EQ on the pedal is very helpful. I always use the Chorus effect I have on my Peavey TNT 115.

I am now thinking of getting a ME-8B as I realize how much I like effects (but I do not abuse of them).

I always have the sans amp bass driver di and the basscompactor doing something. I use the 105Q too much, I use the qtron plus, bassballs and small stone kind of randomly. I have a couple of other oddball effects e.g. DOD thing with lots of stuff that I use rarely.

I always have my Ibanez BE10 EQ on as well as my compressor. Sometimes I will use my BOSS DS-1 distortion pedal to get a fuzz tone that emulates (to a degree) the overdriven live sound of Jack Bruce. Despite its being a guitar effect it works well on bass (though one does need to be careful so as not to inadvertantly lose a lot of bottom end from your bass tone.).
