    This is what I'd do. From what I remember, older ones may not be convertible, but most are, and in a lot of these types of amps it's as easy as swapping around a couple molex plugs. However, I don't want to do anything to send you or your amp to the hospital, so definitely contact Ampeg and don't do anything till you hear from them.
