how to cut laminate

    perhaps it is a silly question but does anyone have any good tips on what is required to cut good smooth laminate sections? I am assuming that if your surfaces are not very smooth and the laminate sections are not even that you will have many problems.

    Ideally, I like to run my laminates through a thickness sander (my laminations are generally too thin to do with a planer or jointer). I've made laminates using just a good table saw blade and a very accurate fence (many times)... however, if you are not careful, if your blade is not exactly perpendicular to your table, or if your fence is not set *just* right, you can get tapering on the lamination, either along the length, or along the narrow face.

    These were done with just the table saw...
