    Hi All!
I've been going through some old things and found this "Fender Jazz Bass". However I cannot determine if this guitar is authentic, something thrown together, or just a straight up fake. I plugged it in and it sounds fine but I can't find a serial number or anything on it!

Also, based on your finding, what would this be worth?
    Mahalo!

it's hard to say because there have been so many versions, but i'm pretty sure that it's not a genuine fender. i've never seen a fender with a bridge that had our screws to mount it in the corners.

if it plays and sounds good it's probably worth $50-$100.

I ran into a Fender Jazz fake a few years back and what was most noticeable to me was the body wood was not solid. it was that particle board stuff that cheap furniture is made of. You might take a few screws out and just verify that the body is solid. Also mine had a lot of rusty hardware indicating cheap materials and finishing.
