How to EQ my ATK to sound like a 'Ray?

Everyone says how ATK's are 'budget EBMM Stingrays'. However, i have not played enough Rays to know what that sound is to try and emmulate it with my ATK. So, how do you EQ/pup-possition it to sound like a Ray?

FWIW: I don't really care all that much, but my drummer says i play like EBMM Stingray user, Karl Alverez (Decendents/All), which is a ginormous compliment, and i should try for a simmilar tone (aka - punk rock, finger style).

Why not find your own tone?

Anyways, boost your treble to get that trebly brightness rays have, and add some mids. Ray,just like a p bass is one of those sounds that you can try to emulate, but you'll never get close to the real thing without owning one.

Oh i HAVE my own tone, and i like it a ton! I'm not trying to change that at all.

This is more of an experiment, i guess. I just don't know 'what' the stingray tone is, let alone emmulate it. I just always see "ATK sounds like a Ray". I've had my ATK for 10 years now and i love the tone(s) i get out of it... just curious as to what the settings would be to do this ever-lauded EBMMray tone.

Honestly dude, I have yet to pick up an ATK and have it sound anything like a Stingray. Granted, they've got a similar pickup configuration, but that's about it. Each is it's own animal, in my opinion. That being said, there are some ATKs out there that sound pretty boss...

What I was originally going to say until I saw the first response.
