I would like to try and find the best audience for my band's style of music. How would I go about finding a place where a bunch of hippies/stoner hang out. I want to find people that like weird/trippy/expirimental/Floydian stuff.

You can always go into local clubs and check the Jukebox selections.

Stoner tunes, huh? I love'em too. A day never goes by that I don't listen to Trower's Bridge of Sighs, Floyd's Dogs or Shine On, Jimmi's Axis Bold As or If 6 was 9, Genesis' Carpet crawlers... or ALL of'em!

Probably my favorite tune to do with the classic rock band that I'm with is Trower's Day of The Eagle, inwhich we stretch that slow-grind ending out to six or eight minutes!

Here's a little piece that I recorded about a year ago...

Ok cool. I'll remember about checking jukeboxes. Thanks!
We're still looking for a drummer but we are working on original stuff and we do some obscure Floyd covers.

I just want to avoid (at all costs) getting booed off the stage for playing such strange titles like "Set the Controls For the Heart of the Sun"

    Ahh yes:
"Little by little the night turns around.
Counting the leaves which tremble at dawn.
Lotuses lean on each other in yearning.
Under the eaves the swallow is resting.
Set the controls for the heart of the sun."

...and with that recitation, I think I'm just about ready for my weekend.
