Hey guys, I have always admired the way the bass sounded in David Bowie's "As The World Falls Down". I'm not even sure if its an actual bass playing or if it is just a synth patch however I was just wondering if anyone could help me figure out EQ settings and/or effects and there settings to help simulate that tone. Thanks! :)

The link to the song is right here:

well it's a fretless if that helps. actually sounds like what pino palladino did in the 80's with paul young. wouldn't be surprised if it's him.

Dress like this for a month.

Then start to wear socks in your codpiece for the next month

After that you have to bathe yourself in Champagne.

Once this has completed you are almost on the path of Bowie enlightenment.

Will Lee played that on a 60's Fretless Fender P-Bass. Sounds like a flat EQ with little or no effects.
