I play a MIM JB V and I use a behringer ultrabass 1200, I play that bass dry directly to my amp with no efects/pre-amps, but since I obtained more expirience slapping and fingerplaying, and started playing this a lot I realised, after hearing a MIA P and a sadowsky Vintage 4, that the way my bass sounded was pretty simple and it didnt had any caracteristic sound, in other words a plain bass sound that doesent take a lot of precense over the guitar 'til I start slapping so what can I do to make my bass sound a little more amazing and less plain.

I use full rolled EQ on the bass (3 knobs) and a half way bass knob, a 65% Mid bass contour, a 55% treeble mid cont, and 60% treeble contour on the amp.
