Hey everyone, I'm still kind of a newbie when comes to bass guitar stuff. (I play guitar way more than bass) I play bass every once and a while and I've been dying to know the answer to this question. I play a lot of 80's stuff and I really love the sound of the bass, I just don't know what gear to buy to pull off that sound. Please tell me what I need to get! (amps, effects, basses, etc.) :help:

Here's the tone I'm trying to get:

My current bass is a crappy Peavey Milestone iii

What are you running for an amp?

You could have a fantastic bass but if you're running it into an 8" practice combo, it ain't gonna work that well.

  12. Guild Pilot or Spector NS2 or (A), compressor, GK amp or combo, and chorus.... hey wait!... I have all that stuff :)
