How to not completely suck at bass guitar video.

  1. (Warning, this guy has a vendetta against bass players but he does have some good pointers.)

Also this is more aimed toward metal players and studio work. If you check out his others videos, it gets worse.

I have never laughed so hard in my life.

This guy is hilarious but is so true on many levels.

Musician cliche's, but spun to sound like bass players have exclusivity.

"You should be able to play everything with ease before you walk into a studio".
    Indeed

"The Instant Rock Star Button does not exist. If you want it, you're going to have to work for it."

Sad but so true.. Too Funny... However, I don't change my strings. I prefer the tone of dead strings... Just saying

I would never go into a studio with fresh strings. They need a few days to settle in and sound right.
But, mostly I agree. And it is funny.

  8. Hi,

With all the strings I DON'T buy, you'd think I could afford a tattoo.

That was entertaining. Thanks for sharing.

    Thank you for your indulgence,

Oh the decision I must make. I don't buy new bass strings often, I like the way they sound old, but I don't like needles, and I haven't identified any art I want on my body the rest of my life, so no tats. What to do...I guess I should go practice....nah
