i play in a band where i use a lot of delay, flanger, chorus a la Justin Chancellor.

What is the best way to record bass with these effects?

I'm not talkin about home recordings...i mean at an actual studio.

Best way to record them is Dry bass one channel - FX another channel as a guide.
Then let the Recording engineer play with your or his fx using the already recorded dry track until it sits properly with the overall mix.
Try to leave as much of the bass sound fiddling for the mixdown where you'll have more control...

    - cheers
