How to remove knobs from iAmp 800?

I've got an iAmp 800 with red knobs. I need to remove one of the kniobs to do a minor repair. The knobs apparently aren't pressed on. I assume the cap of the knob needs to be removed to access a screw attaching the knob to the pot. I can't seem to remove the cap and I don't want to trash the knob. If anyone's got any insight it will be appreciated.
  2. I replaced mine with the black knobs and they did in fact pull off the shafts. Unless they changed the design midstream, yours should be the same. Try using a small blade screwdrived to gently pry the knob up from the panel. If unsure, contact EA for advice. They're very helpful in most cases...

They are, indeed, pressed on. It just takes a bit of careful, muscle and a bit of persistance to remove them.
