how to tell my guitar player to lighten up?

Dude.... lighten up.

Tell him to make music and stop caring about how he looks. Tell him you might be looking for another guitarist if he doesn't stop being the way he is.

 

You know its funny.. your whinging about your guitarist whinging...

Basically thats guitarists.. lighten up and deal with it.

Here's what you do:

Tackle him, totally screw up his hair, and wrinkle his shirt. Keep doing it over and over until he is crying in a fetal position in the corner of the room, a quivering blob of his former self.

Report to me after you do that.

 

Sneak into his house and replace all of his hair care products with some sort of strong adhesive. before you know it he will be forced to cut all of his hair off due to the adhesive and his pride will greatly suffer, at which point you take control over the band.

 

or switch his doderant and soap with icy hot

But its the same idea.I'm coming to believe that drawing attention to one's prettiness is more a feminin trait than a masculine one.Don't get me wrong,I don't think men should all let themselves go until they look a mess.except Keith Richards maybe.

 

And you call him "your" guitarist. Seems you've confused the owning relationship.

 

Step on his pedals during a solo, then say, "I don't take you that seriously, neither should you."

 

Every time he did those things around me I would laugh at him.

 

Just give him a good back hand, then tell him he looks fat or something, That will get him to wear bigger shirts atleast.
