    hii there guys!!

my 3 piece band have a gig coming up. its gonna be in a bg school hall.

they have for bass hartke 3500 4x10, for guitar peavey tripleX 4x12, marshall jcm900 4x12, for keyboard peavey kb100, gd drumset n a decent pa system w/o stage monitors. evry instruments will be miked.

im worried there'll be no stage monitors. cuz im afraid we wudden be able to hear each other. plus the hall will be packed wit like 1000 ppl or so.

so the qn is, how u guys gonna deal dis kinda gig? wats the best solution can u suggest with the stuffs we have above?

    a million thx!!!

  2. Your stage amps will likely be your monitors.

    vocals?
does the band have any vocals?

if so, the singer will need a monitor of some sort.

if there's a decent PA system as stated in your original post(hard to believe it's decent without a monitor system of some sort)...then you need to send a signal from the mixing desk to the stage (AUX send)...and then to a monitor. I would suggest a powered monitor like the JBL Eon or a Mackie SR450...then you don't have to worry about a power amp.

bottom line is the vocalist will need a monitor at the very least.

oh..if it's truly a combat situation and there is no monitors at all...try turning one of the main house speakers in as a side fill. If your vocalist can't hear him/her self...then it can be very rough gig.

    good luck!
