i say stay away from carvin speakers. I think the heads are pretty nice, and a good deal, but the speakers are decidedly wussy (imo anyway). If youre gona get the eden 2x10 why not be a beast about it and get either their 15, 2x15 or 18...all would be very nice choices. Theres also the swr 15, 2x15, 18, so you have alot of choices, but if i was you I wouldnt screw up the nice sound youre gonna get out of that eden with the carvin cabs.

I haven't played on a 210XLT, but have auditioned a 410XLT. My impression is that its low bass response is really good for a 2x10. The Carvin 1x15 or 1x18 are kind of weak in the low end, below the A string - probably even weaker than the Eden 2x10, believe it or not. If you're trying to augment the bottom octave with a 15" or 18" - over and above what your 210 will give you, you might be better off with another make, as leper suggested. BTW, I run an R1000 into Carvin's 2x10 (combo) on top of an Eden 2x15 on the bottom, and I think it sounds really good. I use the Eden now because I couldn't get the bottom I needed out of my Carvin 1x18 with the wattage I was pushing.

I gotta go along with Mikey on this. The Carvins lack alot of bottom end. IMHO with what you have now, the 15 sounds like the better option for what you are looking for. An 18 is such a power pig I dont think you would be satisfied with the volume and lack of overhead. I have heard a rig like MikeyD's and it sounded great with all the bottom punch you need.

I have a R-1000 head and just bought a 4ohm 210xlt.I sold my RL 410 cab to get it.I was looking for a cab to go with it and decided on the 212 xlt 4ohm.It can be used by itself, goes almost as low as a 15 and is 3db more efficient than Edens 15xlt.I'll have to sell a bass and my Carvin 210 cab but it should be worth it.It's just another option to think about.
